We breed purebred Maremma Sheepdogs and Great Pyrenees, Anatolian, Maremma mix dogs.
We have combined the best of livestock guardian breeds to get well rounded, genetically diverse and intelligent offspring that are great protectors of livestock, property and family. Our dogs can be intimidating to those who are unwelcome, though they are very friendly and loving towards guests and new farm additions. Livestock guardian dogs are an absolute must when it comes to farming - we cannot imagine our life without them. These breeds are working dogs; they need a home with property to run and a job to get their energy out. They are not house dogs and will be happiest in pairs. Full grown, dogs should be around 100 pounds. Puppies are trained by watching their working parents and ready to go to their new home at 10-12 weeks old. Though puppies will not be fully trained at 10 weeks, the education they gather from their parents gives them a great start to be an excellent addition to their new livestock and human family. Puppies come from long lines of excellent working dogs and are handled daily and exposed to goats, cows, horses chickens, and cats.
